Odisha Vigilance launched simultaneous searches at five locations linked to VIMSAR Steward Aswini Meher on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets beyond his known sources of income.
On Tuesday, a team led by five DSPs, five Inspectors, three ASIs, and supporting staff carried out the raids. The Special Vigilance Judge, Sambalpur, issued search warrants authorising the operation.
Officials searched Meher’s government quarter at Medical Staff Colony, VIMSAR, Burla, an under-construction four-storeyed building at Saurav Vihar, Burla, a building at Pathanbandh, Burla, another building at Govindpalli in Baragada district, and his office chamber at VIMSAR, Burla.
Searches are continuing, and further updates are awaited.
