In a significant administrative move to strengthen leadership across critical wings of the Odisha Police, the state Home Department has promoted five experienced OPS (Super Time Scale) officers to the rank of Superintendent of Police (Selection Grade) — OPS (SAG).
The promotions are on an ad hoc basis for one year from the date the officers join their new grade, or until retirement, or until the Odisha Public Service Commission’s recommendations are received and accepted — whichever comes first.
The officers have been allowed to continue in their current postings until further orders.
