KLF 2025 Breaks Barriers, Bringing Global Literature to Odisha

The 11th edition of the Kalinga Literary Festival (KLF) concluded on Sunday evening with an electrifying performance by the Indian Ocean band, marking the end of a three-day extravaganza of literature, culture, arts, and dialogue.

The festival, held in Bhubaneswar, featured over a hundred thought-provoking sessions with participation from eminent writers, poets, filmmakers, artists, and social entrepreneurs from across India and the globe.

Addressing the valedictory function, Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao emphasized the critical role of literature in shaping society, calling it the “true mirror of humanity.”

Highlighting the cultural bond between Odisha and Chhattisgarh, he referred to the relationship as one of “Roti, Beti ki Sampark” (bread and daughter), underscoring the deep-rooted ties between the two neighboring states.

Awards and prizes were distributed to outstanding student participants, and the final day featured parallel sessions on topics like women entrepreneurship, cinema, arts, and regional cultural relations.

Festival CEO Ashok Bal commended the collective efforts behind the event’s success, bringing together literary luminaries and emerging thought leaders on a global platform.

Festival Director Rashmi Ranjan Parida expressed pride in achieving the festival’s goal of introducing contemporary writings to Odia audiences while promoting Odia literature and arts internationally.
