A delegation of Jagannath Temple servitors and management committee members met President Droupadi Murmu in a courtesy call, presenting her with a handcrafted idol of Lord Jagannath from Puri.
The group included sevayat Bipin Patri, SJTA managing committee member Madhusudan Singhari, and sevayat Santosh Pushpalak. They expressed gratitude for the President’s warmth and blessings, describing the meeting as a deeply emotional and memorable experience.
During the interaction, the delegation discussed the temple’s rituals, the upcoming Rath Yatra, and challenges faced by servitors. They also shared perspectives on Puri’s civic development and Odisha’s cultural preservation.
President Murmu reaffirmed her devotion to Lord Jagannath and emphasised the importance of safeguarding Puri’s heritage. She showed keen interest in the temple’s management and the welfare of its servitors.
