Cuttack: President of India Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday appointed Advocate Aditya Kumar Mohapatra as the new Judge of the Orissa High Court.
“In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Aditya Kumar Mohapatra, to be a Judge of the Orissa High Court, with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office,” an official notification said.
While Advocate Aditya Kumar Mohapatra was appointed as the judge of Orissa HC, judicial officers Mohan Lal and Mohammad Akram Chowdhary have been appointed as the judges of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, tweeted the Ministry of Law and Justice.
Similarly, Advocates Anant Ramnath Hegde, Siddaiah Rachaiah, and Kannankuzhyil have been appointed as the judges of the Karnataka High Court, added the ministry.
