A shocking incident occurred on the Kathajodi River bridge in Cuttack when an ambulance carrying a critically ill patient stalled midway, allegedly after running out of fuel.
The patient, identified as Prakash Kumar Kandi from Kendrapara, reportedly died before reaching the hospital.
Prakash had consumed poison and was initially admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital. His family decided to shift him to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar for advanced treatment. While crossing the Kathajodi bridge, the ambulance stopped due to fuel exhaustion. However,
Family members alleged that the vehicle remained stranded for more than thirty minutes, worsening the patient’s condition. They also claimed that the oxygen supply inside the ambulance had depleted during the delay.
