The Director of the Regional Meteorological Center, Manorma Mohanty, stated that rainfall on Friday is expected to surpass Thursday’s levels. Additionally, Central Meteorologist Umashankar Das confirmed that a low-pressure system is forming in the upper atmosphere, coupled with an active depression over the Bay of Bengal. This will lead to an influx of moisture-laden air, potentially resulting in dangerous lightning, thundershowers, and hailstorms.
Residents are urged to exercise caution and follow safety protocols during this period of adverse weather conditions. Stay tuned for further updates!
