Veteran Odia singer Geeta Pattnaik was hospitalised in Cuttack on Thursday after suffering a cerebral stroke. Doctors admitted her to a private hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Reports state that Pattnaik attended a literary event in Bhubaneswar earlier in the day. She suddenly fell ill during the program and was rushed to Capital Hospital. Doctors diagnosed a cerebral stroke and referred her to Cuttack for advanced care.
Her condition remains critical, and medical teams are monitoring her closely. Family members have not yet issued an official statement regarding her health.
