A sudden fire erupted in Bhubaneswar’s Chintamaniswar area around 3 a.m., destroying a car, an auto, and a goods auto parked along the roadside.
Authorities reported that the blaze originated from a suspected short circuit. Flames engulfed the vehicles quickly, leaving them completely gutted despite the fire brigade’s rapid arrival. Firefighters contained the flames and prevented damage to nearby vehicles and establishments.
Residents witnessed the incident and expressed concern over the growing risk of such accidents. Vehicle owners suffered heavy financial losses, though no casualties or injuries were reported. Police and fire officials launched an investigation to confirm the cause, consulting experts to examine electrical faults in the vehicles.
