An all-party meeting is set to take place on February 16 at 11:30 AM to prepare for the upcoming budget session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly. The meeting will be chaired by Speaker Surama Padhy and will include Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with senior ministers and key opposition leaders.
The primary focus of the discussions will be on ensuring the smooth and orderly conduct of the budget session for the financial year 2026-27. This collaborative effort aims to address procedural aspects and foster consensus among political parties for efficient legislative proceedings.
According to sources, prominent attendees will include Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Government Chief Whip Saroj Kumar Pradhan, Opposition Chief Whip Pramila Mallik, Congress Legislature Party Leader Ramachandra Kadam, BJP MLA Jaynarayan Mishra, and MLA Laxman Munda.
