Odisha Vigilance officers launched simultaneous raids at five locations linked to Subrat Kumar Behera, Junior Assistant at the Office of CDMO, Angul, after allegations of misappropriating government funds worth Rs. 2.38 crores.
The searches began today, February 11, 2026, in connection with the Cuttack Vigilance PS case No. 06/2026 under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Vigilance teams comprising 5 DSsP, 8 Inspectors, 14 ASIs, and supporting staff carried out operations across Angul, Dhenkanal, and Bhubaneswar.
Officials searched Behera’s triple-storey residence at Hakimpada in Angul town, a relative’s house at Bonda village under Nalco Nagar police station, his paternal home at Baunsapokhari in Hindol, Dhenkanal district, a rented house of his cousin at Shree Vihar in Bhubaneswar, and his office chamber at CDMO, Angul.
Investigators suspect Behera diverted government money over time, causing a loss of Rs. 2.38 crores. The raids aim to uncover evidence of financial irregularities, property accumulation, and documents related to the alleged corruption.
