Odisha Revenue Department will soon provide services on WhatsApp, allowing citizens to register land-related complaints and applications without visiting offices.

Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari announced that the department will operate a 24-hour service through WhatsApp. Citizens can submit grievances and applications related to land matters, and officials will resolve issues within a fixed time frame.

The new system aims to reduce corruption and eliminate repeated visits to tehsil offices. Pujari confirmed that strict action will follow against officials if corruption complaints arise. He also assured that citizens can directly escalate unresolved issues to him through WhatsApp.

The department designed the service to improve transparency and efficiency. Citizens will gain quick access to services, while officials will face accountability for delays or misconduct. The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to modernising revenue administration and making services more accessible.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will inaugurate the WhatsApp service tomorrow. The launch marks a significant step toward digital governance in Odisha. Officials expect the service to benefit thousands of citizens across the state, especially those in rural areas who often struggle with bureaucratic hurdles.
