President Droupadi Murmu to Visit Odisha on February 2, Attend Fakir Mohan University Convocation

President of India Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Odisha on February 2, 2026, as part of an official tour that includes a visit to Balasore district.


According to official sources, the President will attend the 12th convocation ceremony of Fakir Mohan University on February 3. The event will take place at the university campus in Balasore, where President Murmu will serve as the chief guest.

University Confirms Presidential Visit

Confirming the schedule, Fakir Mohan University Vice-Chancellor Santosh Kumar Tripathy said the President’s participation in the convocation ceremony has been formally confirmed. The university is preparing to host the prestigious event, which will see graduating students receive their degrees in the presence of the country’s highest constitutional authority.

Security and Preparations Underway

Ahead of the President’s visit, authorities are expected to implement comprehensive security measures and logistical arrangements in coordination with state and district administrations. The visit is seen as a significant moment for the university and the region, highlighting the importance of higher education and academic excellence.
