The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 points table is beginning to take shape, with Smriti Mandhana-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Harmanpreet Kaur’s Mumbai Indians (MI) emerging as the early front-runners. As the tournament progresses, net run rate (NRR) has already become a key differentiator among teams.

RCB Women currently sit at the top of the standings after a flawless start to their campaign. Winning both of their matches, they have collected 4 points from 2 games, supported by an impressive net run rate of +1.964. Mandhana’s side has shown consistency with both bat and ball, making them the team to beat at this stage.

Mumbai Indians Women occupy second place with 4 points from 4 matches. However, two wins and two losses underline an element of inconsistency. MI’s net run rate of +0.469 keeps them below RCB despite being level on points, highlighting the importance of dominant victories in the league format.

Gujarat Giants Women, captained by Ashleigh Gardner, are placed third with 4 points from 3 matches. Their balanced campaign—two wins and one loss—has resulted in a modest but positive NRR of +0.105, reflecting competitive outings without large winning margins.

In fourth position are Delhi Capitals Women, led by Jemimah Rodrigues. With 2 points from 3 matches, DC have struggled for consistency, and a negative net run rate of -0.833 suggests they have suffered some heavy defeats despite securing one win.

At the bottom of the table are UP Warriorz Women, who have endured a difficult start. With just one win from four matches and an NRR of -0.906, the team will be eager to regain momentum as the tournament moves forward.

  • Lizelle Lee (Delhi Capitals): 163 runs from three games at an average of 54.33, providing strong starts at the top.

  • Phoebe Litchfield (UP Warriorz): A bright spot for her side with 150 runs in four matches.

  • Sophie Devine (Gujarat Giants): 141 runs, including the highest individual score of the season so far.

  • Nat Sciver-Brunt (Mumbai Indians): 139 runs, continuing her all-round impact.

Top Bowlers

  • Nandani Sharma (Delhi Capitals): Leading wicket-taker with 8 wickets in three matches, attacking consistently.

  • Amelia Kerr (Mumbai Indians): 7 wickets in four games with an economy of 7.44.

  • Nadine de Klerk (RCB): 6 wickets in just two matches, with an impressive economy of 6.75.

Notable High Scores & Figures

  • Sophie Devine: Season’s highest individual score of 95, struck at a remarkable strike rate of 226.19.

  • Nandani Sharma: Best bowling figures so far with 5 for 33.

  • Nadine de Klerk: 4 for 26, highlighting control and consistency.

As WPL 2026 unfolds, competition for playoff spots is expected to intensify, with net run rate likely to play a decisive role in the final standings.
