A key review meeting of the Water Resources Department was held today in the departmental conference hall, chaired by Shubha Sharma, Principal Secretary of the Water Resources Department.
The meeting focused on the progress of departmental projects in line with the 15-point guidelines issued by the Chief Minister. Additionally, the roadmap for achieving the targets set for 12 and 24 months under Vision 2036 and Vision 2047 was reviewed.
The discussions included regular reviews of budget outcomes, the implementation of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed by the Government for industrial development, the training calendar based on Mission Karmayogi, and the system of periodic evaluations.

During the review, the Principal Secretary emphasised the importance of ensuring optimal utilisation of funds to enhance the state’s irrigation potential. She also stressed the need to issue all official correspondence and communications in the Odia language, update the departmental website, and strengthen the grievance redressal mechanism.
Attendees included Sagar Mohanti, Engineer-in-Chief of the Department, along with other senior officers from the Water Resources Department, including Engineers-in-Chief and Chief Engineers with various functional responsibilities.
