Baipariguda witnessed a tragic incident today as the body of a missing elderly woman was recovered from the Jhodikund river after three days of search.
According to reports, Dalimba Kanteri (60) of Ambapaniguda village under Ramgiri police outpost had gone missing on January 9. Her husband, Bhagataram Khinabudi, had taken cattle to a nearby forest that afternoon. When he returned home around 5 p.m., he found Dalimba missing. Consequently, he informed his brother-in-law, Adu Kantei, and together with villagers, they began searching the area.
For three days, family members and locals searched nearby villages but failed to trace her. Finally, this morning around 7 a.m., villagers spotted Dalimb’s body floating in the Jhodikund river. Adu Kantei immediately alerted the Ramgiri police outpost and the Baipariguda fire department.
Soon after, police and fire personnel reached Ambapaniguda and recovered the body from the river. Furthermore, the police conducted an autopsy and later handed over the body to the family.
