Senior BJD leaders gathered at the official residence of former Assembly Speaker Pramila Mallik in Bhubaneswar on January 5, 2026, for a crucial meeting focused on strengthening the party’s organisational base in Jajpur district.
The meeting discussed strategies to reinforce the party structure and expand grassroots programs in Jajpur. Prominent leaders, including Pranab Prakash Das (Bobby), MLA Biswa Ranjan Mallick, former MP Sarmistha Sethi, and Pranab Balabantray, attended the session.
Leaders emphasised coordination among local leadership and workers while preparing strategies for the upcoming panchayat elections. Sources revealed that after losing power in the 2024 state elections, the BJD has been conducting district-level meetings to rebuild its organisational strength.
