Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to conduct a detailed review of the ongoing Kharif paddy procurement process across the state this evening, amid efforts to ensure smooth operations for farmers.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister will assess the progress of paddy collection in various districts, addressing any challenges in the procurement drive. Key attendees include Deputy Chief Minister, Agriculture Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Supply Minister Krushna Chandra Patra, and Cooperatives Minister Pradeep Bal Samant. The crucial session is scheduled for 7:30 PM at Lok Seva Bhawan, the state secretariat.
In a related development, on Wednesday, Chief Minister Majhi will chair a high-level review meeting focused on the proposed Bhubaneswar-Puri-Cuttack economic corridor. The initiative aims to boost infrastructure and development in the strategically important eastern region of the state.
Senior officials and former ministers are expected to participate in the discussions, which will delve into various developmental projects spanning the Bhubaneswar-Kakat-Puri areas. Topics on the agenda include enhanced connectivity, industrial growth, tourism promotion, and urban planning to transform the corridor into a thriving economic hub.
The meeting, slated for noon at Lok Seva Bhawan, underscores the state government’s commitment to accelerating regional development, potentially unlocking new opportunities for investment and employment in one of Odisha’s most populous and culturally significant zones.
