A suspected case of food poisoning claimed the lives of three family members in Itap village under Kantabania police station.
The victims, identified as the wife of Antaryami Sahu and their two sons, Pintu Sahu and Lintu Sahu, fell ill after eating chicken curry and spinach. They collapsed soon after the meal, and relatives rushed them to Angul District Headquarters Hospital. Doctors declared all three dead upon arrival.
Hospital authorities confirmed that the bodies of the mother and sons remain at the mortuary for examination. Moreover, officials stated that the exact cause of death is still unclear. While food poisoning appears likely, investigators are also considering other possible factors.
