Odisha Vigilance today launched simultaneous searches at five locations linked to Rabindra Kumar Barik, Junior Accountant in the office of the District Manager, OSCSC Ltd., Sundargarh.
The action follows allegations of possession of disproportionate assets (DA).
Teams led by three DSPs, six Inspectors, and supporting staff carried out the searches on the strength of warrants issued by the Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Balasore. The raids are underway at the following places:
- A triple-storeyed residential building in Gopalgaon, Balasore
- A triple-storeyed market complex and gym at Gopalgaon, Balasore
- A Kalyan Mandap in Balasore
- His office at Sundargarh
- A rented residential house at Sundargarh
Officials confirmed that searches are continuing and further details will be shared once the operation concludes. The Vigilance Department is examining documents, assets, and financial records to assess whether Barik amassed wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
