In a significant step towards modernising public interaction and boosting transparency, Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Shri Yogesh Bahadur Khurania today inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art website for the Odisha Police at the State Police Headquarters.

The bilingual portal, available in both Odia and English, aims to strengthen public service delivery and accessibility. Speaking at the launch event, the DGP emphasised that the website will prove highly useful for citizens in the coming days, enabling easy access to vital police-related information and services.

“The new website will serve as a bridge between the Odisha Police and the general public, making communication more robust and efficient,” Khurania said. He added that citizens can now conveniently obtain police updates and avail services quickly through computers, laptops, or mobile devices.

Key features of the revamped website include a wide array of online services for citizens, police information, notices, press releases, recruitment details, traffic and safety awareness resources, citizen services, crime prevention measures, important alerts, legal provisions, and news updates.

The launch ceremony was attended by senior officials, including Director of State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) Dr. Santosh Bala, Additional DGP (Law and Order) Shri Sanjay Kumar, Additional DGP (Headquarters) Shri Pratik Mohanty, and DIG (Provisioning) Shri Charan Singh Meena. District Superintendents of Police (SPs) and senior battalion officers joined virtually.

This initiative underscores Odisha Police’s commitment to leveraging technology for greater transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric policing.
