Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive community development by providing mobility and hearing assistive devices to differently–abled persons in Sundargarh and Jharsuguda districts of Odisha.
As part of this initiative, the company supported 20 individuals across Chattabar, Kudaloi, Piplimal, and Banjari Gram Panchayats with wheelchairs and hearing aids. Furthering this effort, the company will extend support to 30 community members, enabling them to lead independent lives.
The assistive devices were distributed in the presence of Dr. Abhilash, Medical Officer, Primary Health Centre, Bileimunda;Shri. Rangadhar Dila, Piplimal Sarpanch; ASHA workers; and community members, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration between the company and local stakeholders.
