Bhubaneswar: The Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) has entrusted Odisha Volleyball Association (OVA) to conduct the Indian Senior Men’s Volleyball Team Coaching Camp for the 21st Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship 2021 scheduled to be held in Japan from 12th to 19th September 2021. This Coaching Camp will be held at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar from 20th July to 07th September 2021.
Mr. Rahul Barik, a volleyball player from Bapuji Volleyball Club, Jagatsinghpur District of Odisha and a product of Bhubaneswar Sports Hostel, Govt. of Odisha has been selected to participate in this prestigious National Coaching Camp. If selected, he will represent the Indian Senior Men’s Volleyball Team in 21st Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship 2021 in Japan. He has represented Odisha in the Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship twice, Youth Nationals twice and Junior Nationals twice. At present he is working at Indo-Tibetan Border Police and posted at Basic Training Centre, Bhanu in Panchkula, Haryana. Mr. Barik has expressed his heartfelt gratitude and thanked Prof. Achyuta Samanta Sir, President of Volleyball Federation of India, Hon’ble MP, Kandhamal, and Founder of KIIT & KISS for all his support and help for this achievement.
Dr. Gaganendu Dash, Hony. General Secretary and all the members of Odisha Volleyball Association (OVA) congratulated him and conveyed their best wishes for his success to make it to the final 14 of the Indian team in the said coaching camp.
