Rahul Yadav, an 18-year-old Computer Science student from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, was found dead in his hostel room at a city-based private university late on November 30.
Infocity Police received the alert at 10:45 p.m. and rushed to the KP 7 AB hostel block. Officers opened the room, which was locked from the inside, in the presence of senior officials and under videography.
Police shifted Rahul’s body to KIMS Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Investigators registered a case of unnatural death under Infocity PS UD Case No. 153 dated December 1.
