Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha MP Bibhu Prasad Tarai narrowly escaped injury on Saturday when a speeding vehicle rammed into his car from behind near Hajipur on National Highway 55.
The BJP MP was travelling from Bhubaneswar to the Nabakrushna Choudhury Stadium in Jagatsinghpur to attend a sports event when the accident occurred. The collision caused significant damage to his vehicle, but Tarai remained safe.
Police acted swiftly after the incident. Biridi police detained the driver of the offending car and seized the vehicle involved in the crash. Officials confirmed that Tarai did not sustain any injuries and continued with his schedule after the accident.
