Odisha’s electricity distribution companies (Discoms), led by Tata Power, have announced a major milestone in powering the state’s industrial growth.
Over 4,000 new industrial connections have been established, supported by an additional 1,700 MVA of power capacity.
This expansion marks a significant step in strengthening Odisha’s industrial infrastructure, ensuring a reliable energy supply for factories, manufacturing units, and emerging enterprises. The surge in connections reflects the growing demand for electricity across the state’s industrial hubs, reinforcing Odisha’s position as a rising destination for investment and development.
Officials emphasised that the enhanced capacity will not only meet current demand but also prepare the state for future industrial projects, contributing to economic growth and job creation.
