X, formerly known as Twitter, suffered a major outage on Friday, November 21, 2025, with users around the world reporting that the app and website were either not loading or functioning only partially.
According to outage-tracking platform DownDetector, complaints surged past 15,000 reports within minutes, indicating a widespread disruption across regions.
Users said they were unable to load posts, refresh timelines, or publish new content.
Users report widespread issues
On DownDetector, frustrated users posted comments reflecting the disruption.
One user wrote, “Wtf, X having issues AGAIN??” Another added, “Seems like no one at Twitter knows how to keep their site up anymore.”
Among those who could still access the platform, a user remarked, “The stock market holding on. X is down again. Well if this isn’t a sign.”
Several users also complained that comments, posts, and notifications were not loading, even when the app opened.
The cause of the outage has not been officially confirmed yet by the company.
