The 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025 witnessed an impressive showcase by Odisha, as Minister for Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare and Science & Technology Shri Krushna Chandra Patra visited the Odisha Pavilion and applauded its outstanding presentation and cultural richness.

Speaking during his visit, Shri Patra said that Odisha’s participation at the IITF is helping position the state prominently on the global map. He commended the pavilion for effectively highlighting the state’s art, culture, architecture, heritage, and ongoing progress in various sectors.

Minister Interacts with Women’s Groups and Artisans

During the tour, the Minister interacted with Women Self Help Groups (WSHGs), Mission Shakti members, young entrepreneurs, and artisans showcasing their products. He discussed challenges, market opportunities, and the response to Odisha’s products among national and international visitors.

Shri Patra noted that Odisha’s handicrafts and local products are increasingly gaining recognition and creating a distinct identity in global markets.

Parliamentary Standing Committee Members Commend Odisha’s Showcase

On Tuesday, members of the Department Related Parliamentary Standing Committee (DRPSC), including former cricketer and MP from Baharampur, West Bengal Shri Yusuf Pathan, and Aska MP Smt. Anita Shubhadarshini, also visited the Odisha Pavilion.

Shri Yusuf Pathan praised the pavilion for perfectly capturing the theme “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”, while Smt. Anita Shubhadarshini highlighted the strong presence of women-led stalls, noting that the pavilion sends a powerful message of women empowerment in Odisha.

Odisha Pavilion Draws Strong Public Interest

As IITF 2025 opens to the public, the Odisha Pavilion has emerged as one of the major attractions. Live demonstrations of handlooms, handicrafts, and rural products are drawing large crowds, and exhibitors have reported a notable rise in sales.

Odisha’s diverse craft traditions, innovative entrepreneurs, and women-driven enterprises are making the pavilion a vibrant and engaging experience for visitors.
