The National Commission for Women (NCW) took a significant step towards enhancing legal protections for women in the digital realm by hosting its Final Review Consultation on Cyber Laws for Women at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
Esteemed guests, including Hon’ble Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal and NCW Chairperson Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar, attended the event.
The consultation aimed to review and finalize proposals for amendments to existing cyber laws, ensuring they are more inclusive and effective in addressing issues faced by women in cyberspace. This effort is crucial in today’s digital age, where women’s online safety and empowerment are of utmost concern.
Notably, Dr. Satyajit Naik, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Eastern Range, Balasore, was invited as a special invitee to participate in this national-level discussion. The event focused on reviewing legal and constitutional safeguards for women’s empowerment and brought together experts and stakeholders to share their insights and recommendations for strengthening cyber laws.
