A minor fire broke out at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday morning, causing brief panic but no casualties or major damage.

Around 9 AM, the fire alarm went off after an electrical board reportedly caught fire due to excessive load. Cleaning staff immediately alerted the Secretariat’s fire department and electrical team. Responders arrived swiftly and extinguished the flames before the situation escalated.

Officials confirmed that the fire was triggered by a short circuit. The prompt action of the emergency teams prevented a major incident. No injuries were reported, and the building sustained minimal damage.

The fire incident at Lok Seva Bhavan has prompted an internal investigation. Authorities are reviewing electrical systems to prevent future occurrences. The Odisha Secretariat remains operational, and further updates are expected.

This fire accident in Bhubaneswar underscores the importance of regular maintenance and rapid emergency response in government buildings.
