Funded by CIL, the initiative aligns with its strategic goal of diversifying into green energy.
Shri P.M. Prasad emphasized Coal India’s evolving role from energy provider to clean energy enabler. He called the MoU a historic step toward sustainable growth and energy security.
Shri V. Kamakoti highlighted the importance of industry-academia partnerships in driving India’s low-carbon future. He said the collaboration aims to deliver scalable solutions that support national sustainability goals.
The Centre will also foster human capital development through Ph.D., postdoctoral, and internship programs, preparing future leaders in green energy innovation.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in India’s journey toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2070.
