Tommy Paul’s  title defence:

Tommy Paul progressed to the semi-finals of the Dallas Open by defeating Reilly Opelka in straight sets (7-6(3), 6-2). This was the third consecutive match in which Paul defeated a fellow countryman. Paul is now 17-5 on home soil since the start of 2024.

Denis Shapovalov’s impressive run:

Denis Shapovalov secured his spot in the semi-finals by defeating Tomas Machac (7-6(5), 6-0). Shapovalov’s victories this week have lifted him nine places to No. 45 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings. He previously upset Taylor Fritz and beat Miomir Kecmanovic in the opening round.

Other notable performances:

    • Casper Ruud advanced to the semi-finals after Yoshihito Nishioka retired due to a shoulder injury.
    • Jaume Munar progressed to the semis by defeating Matteo Arnaldi in a three-set match (6-4, 3-6, 6-3).
