In an astonishing incident at Puri’s Swargadwar, an 86-year-old woman, P. Lakshmi from Polsara in Ganjam district, stunned her family and onlookers when she regained consciousness after being presumed dead.

The elderly woman had been brought to Swargadwar, a sacred cremation ground, for her last rites after her family believed she had passed away. However, in a dramatic turn of events, she suddenly showed signs of life, leaving everyone in disbelief.

According to reports, P. Lakshmi was declared dead earlier in the day, and her family transported her body to Puri Swargadwar via ambulance for the final rites. Upon arrival, the Swargadwar staff requested a medical report to proceed with the cremation. As the family had not brought the required documents, the cremation was delayed.

During this time, the staff noticed movement in the body and realised that P. Lakshmi was alive. The family and Swargadwar employees quickly rushed her to Puri District Headquarters Hospital, where she was admitted for treatment.

This extraordinary event has left the local community and witnesses in awe, with many describing it as a miracle. The incident highlights the importance of proper medical verification before proceeding with the last rites. P. Lakshmi is currently under medical care, and her condition is being monitored.
