The Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack convicted a former Grama Rojagar Sevak (GRS) under Derabis Panchayat Samiti in Kendrapara district in a bribery case and sentenced him to undergo a rigorous imprisonment of 4 years.
The convict has been identified as Lalit Basant Ghadei, former GRS in Endar Gram Panchayat.
Ghadei was charge-sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d)/7 PC Act, 1988 for demanding and taking a bribe from a complainant for the release of security amount in a Cement Concrete road in Ender GP, was convicted by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 4 years and to pay fine of Rs 1,000.
Further, the convict Lalit Basant Ghadei, Former GRS was sent to jail custody to serve his sentence.
