The Department of Odia Language, Literature & Culture has officially invited applications for the 35th State Film Awards (2023) and 36th State Film Awards (2024), recognizing outstanding contributions to Odia cinema and film literature.
Interested producers must submit their entries by October 4, 2025, along with required documents and a soft copy of the film (in pen drive format). Submissions must be sent via registered post, speed post, or parcel to the department’s office.
Eligibility criteria specify that:
- For the 35th awards, films must have received a Censorship Certificate between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023.
- For the 36th awards, films must be certified between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024.
In addition to films, the department is also accepting entries for the Best Book/Monograph on Odia Cinema, written in either Odia or English. Authors must submit 10 copies of their work by the same deadline.
