The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has signed a performance-based Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), setting a bold revenue target of Rs 8,200 crore for the fiscal year 2025–26.
The MoU was formalized at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan, New Delhi, by Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE, and Shri Pradip Kumar Das, CMD, IREDA.
This strategic agreement outlines key performance indicators including Return on Net Worth, Return on Capital Employed, NPA to Total Loans, Asset Turnover Ratio, and EBTDA. IREDA’s stellar performance in FY 2024–25, where it surpassed its revenue target by over ₹786 crore, sets a strong precedent for the upcoming fiscal year.
CMD Pradip Kumar Das expressed optimism, stating, “We are committed to sustaining our track record of excellence. IREDA has earned an ‘Excellent’ rating for four consecutive years and emerged as the top performer among NBFCs and power sector CPSEs.”
This MoU reflects the government’s continued push toward renewable energy expansion and financial accountability in public sector enterprises.
