In a tragic incident in Keonjhar district’s Bileipada, under the Joda police station jurisdiction, the body of a minor was found on the rooftop of an old, abandoned Anganwadi centre on Sunday morning.
Local residents spotted the body and promptly informed the fire brigade, who rushed the minor to the Basudevpur Community Health Centre. Unfortunately, doctors declared the child dead. The police have registered a case of unnatural death (Case No. 25/2025) and sent the body for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. While the exact reason remains unclear, locals speculate that electrocution may have caused the tragedy.
The Anganwadi centre, long deserted and in a dilapidated state, has raised questions about how the minor ended up on the rooftop and what led to the death. The police are investigating, and the post-mortem report is expected to shed light on the circumstances.
The incident has sparked concern in the community, with residents questioning the safety of abandoned structures in the area. Authorities have assured a thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind this heartbreaking event.
