Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, convicted in rape and murder cases, walked out of Rohtak’s Sunaria jail on Tuesday after being granted 40 days of parole.
Singh left the prison in the morning and travelled in a cavalcade to his sect’s headquarters in Sirsa, Haryana. This marks his 14th temporary release since 2020.
Earlier this year, he was granted a 21-day furlough in April. In total, Ram Rahim has spent 326 days outside prison during these temporary releases.
