Jehanabad: At least Seven pilgrims died and several others sustained injuries in a stampede at Baba Siddhanth Temple in Bihar’s Jehanabad district on Monday morning. The victims comprised five women and two men, according to officials.
Diwakar Kumar Vishwakarma, Town Inspector, Jehanabad confirmed seven bodies had arrived at the Jehanabad Post-mortem Hose.
The injured were rushed to the hospitals in Makhdumpur and Jehanabad for treatment. Alankrita Pandey, the District Magistrate of Jehanabad, said the situation is under control.
