Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a fierce attack on the Congress and the Opposition for “belittling” the success of Operation Sindoor, India’s recent anti-terror strike.

Addressing a public gathering in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi, Modi compared India’s decisive action to Lord Mahadev’s Rudra roop, declaring, “Anyone who messes with India will not be spared, even in pataal lok.”

The PM accused the Congress and its allies of refusing to accept the success of the mission, saying, “Congress has called Operation Sindoor a tamasha. They are constantly insulting the valour of our armed forces.”

He also targeted the Samajwadi Party (SP), alleging that both Congress and SP sympathised with terrorists when in power. “Pakistan is crying, but Congress and SP are also crying seeing the condition of terrorists. They even question why terrorists were killed on that day — should I call them before taking action?”

The remarks come amid an escalating political row over Operation Sindoor, with the BJP portraying it as a decisive blow to Pakistan-based terror camps, while the Opposition questions the government’s narrative.
