The Government of Odisha’s Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water (PR&DW) Department has announced a significant reshuffle of Block Development Officers (BDOs) across the state, effective immediately.
The notification details the transfer and new postings of 10 Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers to enhance administrative efficiency and development in rural blocks.
Among the key changes, Bishnu Govind, previously serving as the BDO of Kakaput, has been transferred to Tikabali in Kandhamal district. Other notable transfers include Sabyasachi Behera moving from M. Rampur to Laxmipur, Koraput, and Sarat Kumar Sethi shifting from Harbhanga to M. Rampur, Kalahandi. The list also features officers like Bijay Kumar Pradhan, now posted to Harbhanga, Boudh, and Ranjit Kumar Mohanta, reassigned from Sahanrada to Bijatola, Mayurbhanj.
The reshuffle aims to bring fresh perspectives and leadership to the blocks, with the government expecting improved governance and development outcomes. Additionally, the services of Kshyamanidhi Bhue, BDO of Naktideul, have been reverted to the Revenue & DM Department for further posting.
