Rayagada: The body of a home guard was recovered from the railway tracks in Rayagada district late on Sunday. The deceased was deployed in the residence office of the SP in the district.
As per reports, his body was found on the tracks just 50 meters from Rayagada railway station. He had a cut mark on his neck, sources said.
The exact cause of the death is yet to be ascertained. It is suspected that he might have been killed or slipped while getting down from the moving train. Police have recovered the body for post-mortem and launched an investigation into this.
