The Haj Committee of India, operating under the Ministry of Minority Affairs, has officially commenced the application process for Haj 2026, one of the most sacred pilgrimages in the Islamic faith.
Interested Indian Muslims can submit their applications via the official Haj portal () or the “Haj Suvidha” mobile app, available for both Android and iOS devices. The application deadline is July 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
🔑 Key Application Guidelines:
- Applicants must possess a machine-readable Indian passport issued on or before July 31, 2025, with validity extending at least until December 31, 2026.
- It is mandatory to read the Guidelines and Undertakings thoroughly before applying.
- Cancellations will only be accepted in cases of death or serious medical emergencies. Other cancellations may result in penalties or financial loss, as per the Haj Committee advisory.
This year’s application phase continues the government’s endeavor to simplify and digitise the pilgrimage experience, ensuring transparency, accessibility, and support for all prospective pilgrims.
