Flats, Plots & Lockers: Vigilance Deepens Grip on Ganjam AEE’s Wealth Trail

Authorities have uncovered a widening network of movable and immovable assets allegedly disproportionate to Panda’s known sources of income.

During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Sri Panda and his family members;

1. One triple-storeyed building with an area of approx. 4620 Sqft. at Ram Hari Nagar, Berhampur.

2. One 2-BHK flat vide No. 205 with an area of approx 700 Sqft. at Mukteswar apartment, Ankuli, Berhampur.

3. One 1-BHK flat with an area of approx 600 Sqft. at Puri.

4. 6 nos. of high value plots at Bhubhaneswar, Khordha & Berhampur. Details as under:

i) A piece of land with area Ac. 0.055 dcml at Bhuasuni, Bhubhaneswar.

ii) A piece of land with area Ac. 0.023 dcml at Malipada, Bhubaneswar.

iii) A piece of land with area Ac. 0.046 dcml at Baniatangi, Khordha.

iv) A piece of land vide plot No.746, Khata No.737 with area Ac0.035 dcml at Baidyanathpur, Lane-2, Ram Hari Nagar, Berhampur.

v) A piece of land vide plot No.55, Khata No.148 with area Ac. 0.041 dcml at Keranditola, Narayanapur, Chhatrapur, Ganjam.

vi) A piece of land with area Ac. 0.068 dcml at Khodasing, Berhampur.

The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above building/flats/ plots are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.

5. Cash Rs. 2,05,000/-.

6. Bank and other deposits, investments, etc., are being ascertained.

7. One Bank locker at Central Cooperative Bank, Berhampur, being maintained in the joint name of Sri Panda & her spouse, is still to be opened.

8. 1 four wheelers (Mahindra KUV) & 2 two wheelers

Sources confirm that the valuation of the uncovered assets is underway and could run into crores. The continuing operation underscores the state’s firm stand against corruption in public service.

The raids have drawn significant public and administrative attention, with further updates expected as searches proceed.
