Weather experts indicate that the northwestern Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal zones remain conducive for cyclone-like developments during this monsoon phase. An active monsoonal trough and rising sea surface temperatures are aiding this pattern.
The Odisha government has issued advisories to fishermen and coastal residents to stay cautious, while the agriculture department has alerted farmers to prepare for excess precipitation.
