Bhubaneswar: Heavy rain lashed the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and other places in Odisha on Thursday, giving rise to waterlogging issues at several places and leading to traffic woes.
The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department had earlier predicted heavy rain in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack for three hours today. The rain started at around noon and threw normal life out of gear.
Many places in the city are vulnerable to waterlogging. Laxmisagar is one of those places where knee-deep water is seen flowing on the Cuttack-Puri road, affecting vehicular movements. Similarly, the ISKCON temple area, Jharpada area and Old Town areas are also struggling with the same situation.
