Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancée, journalist Lauren Sánchez, have officially begun their grand wedding celebrations in Venice, Italy.
The glamorous affair has quickly turned into a full-blown celebrity spectacle, with a lineup of Hollywood elites and influential personalities making their way to the romantic city.
Among the early arrivals were Leonardo DiCaprio, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Orlando Bloom, and Oprah Winfrey, creating buzz on both sides of the Atlantic. Kim Kardashian, accompanied by sister Khloe and mother Kris, was seen leaving the luxurious Gritti Palace Hotel on Thursday via boat, a common Venetian commute during such high-profile events.
Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner, along with their children, were spotted arriving on Wednesday. Supermodel Karlie Kloss, who is pregnant, also made an appearance with her husband Josh Kushner.
CNN reports that the Kardashians were later seen socializing with Orlando Bloom, who arrived with Katy Perry, amid swirling rumours about their relationship. Other big names joining the festivities include Oprah Winfrey, Tom Brady, Bill Gates, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Notably, the wedding was preceded by an unusual protest — a life-size dummy of Jeff Bezos was thrown into a Venetian canal by demonstrators critical of extreme wealth and corporate practices.
Despite the protest, the celebrations are underway with full grandeur, and Venice is abuzz with the glitz, glamour, and the promise of one of the most talked-about weddings of the year.
