Telkoi: A woman allegedly killed her own 24-old-day infant at Namkani village of Bimala Panchayat under Telkoi police station of Keonjhar district.
The shocking incident took place at around 1 am today. The accused mother identified as Laxmi Juanga axed the infant to death. She allegedly separated the body from head by hacking with axe.
The incident happened while husband Guru Juanga was asleep.
On receiving the news, the local police reached the spot and seized the dead body and arrested the accused mother. On the other hand, the scientific team also rushed to the spot and investigated from various aspects by collecting samples.
Lakshmi had also perpetrated similar incident four-five years ago when she had killed one of her children. She committed the similar crime while she was on bail.
