A bomb threat email received early Wednesday morning at Hyderabad’s Begumpet Airport prompted security agencies to launch a high-alert operation, according to officials.
The Begumpet Division police, along with a bomb disposal squad, were immediately deployed to secure the area and conduct intensive checks across the airport and its surrounding premises.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Begumpet Division, confirmed the threat and stated, “Begumpet airport received a bomb threat mail this morning. We are currently conducting a thorough search of the airport and its premises with the bomb squad. Further details will be provided later.”
As a precautionary measure, security protocols were heightened, though there was no immediate disruption to civilian operations reported. Investigations are ongoing to trace the source of the threat. Authorities have assured the public of continued vigilance and updated information as the situation develops.
