The Israel-Iran conflict escalated sharply on Wednesday as the Israeli military launched targeted airstrikes on refineries and oil depots near Tehran, including areas close to Tajrish in the capital’s northeast.
The attacks, now in their sixth consecutive day, come amid rising regional tensions and the growing threat of full-scale war.
Visuals circulating on social media showed massive fires engulfing the targeted areas. Reports suggest Israel had issued an evacuation warning ahead of the strike, as confirmed by Reuters. These latest strikes follow Iran’s launch of 10 ballistic missiles toward Tel Aviv, most of which were intercepted, according to Israeli officials.
The violence has reached an alarming intensity, with both nations showing no sign of de-escalation.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump, after a security briefing in Washington, issued a stern message on Truth Social warning Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, saying:
“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding… Not going to take him out, at least not for now. But our patience is wearing thin.”
The statement follows earlier unconfirmed reports that Khamenei has transferred powers to Iran’s military command, as much of his inner circle has reportedly been neutralized in Israeli strikes over the past few days.
The growing conflict has sparked fears of wider regional fallout, with world powers—particularly the US—under pressure to prevent a broader war in the Middle East.
